PREFIXES and SUFFIXES
Add prefixes to the beginning of a word. They are usually added directly to the word without any changes - in - un - dis - and mis
- Dis + appear = disappear
- Dis + satisfied = dissatisfied
- Mis + spelt = misspelt
- Un + natural = unnatural
- Un + nerving = unnerving
Add suffixes to the end of a word - able - ation - er - est - ful - fully - ing - ment - ness - sion
- Recommend + ation = recommendation
- Accept + able = acceptable
- Love + ly = lovely
- Walk + ing = walking
- Happy + ness = happiness
- Divide + sion = division
- Excite = ment = excitement
- Tall + er = taller
- Large + est = largest
- Hope + ful = hopeful
- Hope + fully = hopefully
